Libraries have always been places where technology serves people. From the card catalog to online discovery, from public computers to digital collections, libraries continually adopt new tools to make information and services more accessible to their communities.
But today’s digital landscape can be complicated.

Libree is building a growing suite of digital tools specifically for libraries.
Rather than adapting generic business software to fit library workflows, we start with the needs of libraries themselves. Our goal is to create technology that is practical, flexible, and straightforward to use — without unnecessary complexity.
That includes tools for library management, websites, bookings, reading programs, links, analytics, APIs, and more.
Each product can stand on its own, but they’re also designed to work together as part of a connected ecosystem.

Technology should make library work easier, not create another system for staff to learn and maintain.
That means thinking about the details that matter: how staff manage information, how patrons find services, how programs are delivered, how different systems communicate, and how libraries understand what is happening across their digital services.
It also means recognizing that every library is different.
A small community library may have very different needs from a large multi-branch system. Libraries should be able to choose the tools that make sense for them rather than being forced into an all-or-nothing technology stack.
Built with libraries, not just for them
One of the most important parts of building library technology is listening to the people who actually use it.
That’s why we’re developing relationships with libraries that want to be involved in the process. Our Partner & Preview Libraries help us test new features, identify real-world issues, provide feedback, and help us understand where our products can do better.
These partnerships give libraries an opportunity to help shape the tools they’re using, while helping us make sure we’re solving actual problems rather than problems we imagine libraries have.
Participating libraries may also receive early access, special pricing, discounts, or other partnership benefits.
